Acute limb ischemia in COVID-19 patients: an overview

چکیده
COVID-19 causes a wide range of clinical symptoms. hematologic and cardiovascular involvement induces thromboembolic symptoms in various organs, most notably venous thromboembolism (VTE); peripheral arterial is uncommon. Acute limb ischemia (ALI) vascular emergency known as dramatic drop perfusion that poses challenge to the limb's viability. Given routine need for thromboprophylaxis, hospitalised patients are at an elevated risk ALI, loss, or even mortality. Understanding specific patients, especially extrapulmonary manifests, crucial both better patient care development adequate infection prevention methods. Although ALI complication hospitalized it now being understood can arise with mild symptoms, be first presenting sign absence respiratory It recommended acutely admitted cases should given pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) fondaparinux unless there chance bleeding contraindicated. Anticoagulant treatment, primarily LMWH, correlates strongly improved prognosis serious who follow sepsis-induced coagulopathy requirements have significantly D-dimer levels.

LATE EMBOLECTOMY FOR LIMB OR KNEE SALVAGE IN ACUTE LOWER LIMB ISCHEMIA: A NEW PROTOCOL
Embolectomy has long been the gold standard for treating limbs acutely threatened by arterial occlusion. Delayed embolectomy has not been investigated adequately due to the belief that accompanying mortality and morbidity render the case futile. Following our previous experience with late arterial repair for leg or knee salvage I we applied the same principle to limbs threatened with prolo...

متن کاملVasospastic limb ischemia presenting acute and chronic limb ischemia.
Vasospastic limb ischemia might have been underappreciated compared to vasospasm in other territories such as heart and brain. However, an increasing awareness of this vascular disorder can be translated to an improved patients' care. Herein, we report a case of vasospasm presenting acute and chronic limb ischemia in four extremities.
